MOSAQO VS BITLY QR CODES
Mosaqo vs Bitly QR Codes: link management or a QR-first product
Bitly is a link-management platform that also produces QR codes. Mosaqo is a QR product that also manages redirects. The order of those words decides which one fits.
QUICK OVERVIEW
What this changes in practice
01
What Bitly is built around
Bitly manages short links at scale: branded domains, link analytics and a very large installed base, with QR codes offered as another output of the same managed redirect. If your organisation already standardises on Bitly branded links across email, social and paid channels, keeping QR in the same account is a reasonable simplification.
Its QR allowance is freemium and modest at the free tier — two codes a month, as checked in August 2026 — with higher volumes on paid plans.
- Short links and QR on one managed redirect
- Branded link domains and link-level analytics
- A small free QR allowance, more on paid plans
02
What changes when the QR is the artefact
A short link is read by a machine; a QR code is looked at by a person standing in front of a printed thing. That difference is where Mosaqo spends its effort: the composition of the card, the contrast against the material, the quiet zone, the logo coverage, and an export the printer can use.
The redirect, the analytics and the API are all there too — but they exist to serve a physical placement rather than a link inventory.
- Card composer with stickers, text and photos
- Contrast, quiet-zone and logo-coverage checks before export
- Print-grade PNG, SVG and PDF
03
When Bitly is the better answer
Choose Bitly when short links are the primary job and QR is a secondary output — when the team already runs branded links there, reports on them there, and wants one fewer vendor. Mosaqo does not manage a link inventory across channels, and does not try to.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does Mosaqo support custom domains for redirects?
Yes. Custom domains are available in the current release, so a printed code can carry your own address rather than a shared one.
Can I use Mosaqo purely for short links?
It is not built for that. Mosaqo manages redirects behind QR placements; a link-management platform is the better tool for a channel-wide link inventory.
How many QR codes can I create for free?
Mosaqo applies no plan quota during the first release. Bitly's free tier covered two QR codes a month when checked in August 2026; confirm the current allowance on its own pricing page.
