Reading preview and validation errors
Validation reports the row and what is wrong with it. Fix the source spreadsheet rather than the exported file, so the correction survives the next export.
Steps
- Read the row number and open that row in the source spreadsheet.
- Fix the cause there — a missing scheme, an empty required cell, a stray delimiter.
- Re-export the whole file rather than patching the CSV by hand.
- Re-run the preview and confirm the error count is zero before submitting.
How to check it worked
The preview reports no errors, and a spot check of three random rows shows the right destination.
What usually goes wrong
- Editing the CSV directly, so the next export reintroduces the fault.
- Fixing the first error and resubmitting without checking the rest.
- Ignoring a partial failure and assuming every row was created.
