Scan analytics

Why a static code has no analytics

A static code stores its payload in the matrix and never contacts Mosaqo, so no scan is ever observed. Analytics require a dynamic code, because only a managed redirect sees the scan happen.

Steps

  1. Check the code’s mode. If it is static, the absence of data is expected rather than a fault.
  2. Create a dynamic code for the same destination if you need measurement.
  3. Reprint with the new code — a printed static matrix cannot be converted.
  4. For anything measurable in future, choose dynamic at creation time.

How to check it worked

A dynamic code shows scans within the aggregation delay after a real scan. A static one shows nothing, ever.

What usually goes wrong

  • Waiting for data that will never arrive.
  • Assuming the mode can be changed after printing.
  • Mixing static and dynamic codes in one campaign and comparing their reports.
