Brand kit
The brand kit holds the colours and logos the workspace is allowed to use, so a code made by someone who has never seen the brand guidelines still comes out on-brand.
Steps
- Add the brand colours once, at the workspace level.
- Upload the logo variants people actually need, including a version that works on a light background.
- Point the team at the brand kit instead of circulating hex codes in chat.
- Re-check contrast whenever a brand colour changes — an on-brand code that does not scan is still a broken code.
How to check it worked
A new code built from the brand kit passes the contrast check without manual adjustment.
What usually goes wrong
- Brand colours with too little lightness difference to scan.
- Only a white logo uploaded, so it disappears on light exports.
- Hex codes shared in chat and drifting over time.
