Personal and workspace templates

A template stores a finished look — colours, logo, frame, module style — so the next code starts approved instead of starting blank. A workspace template is shared with the team; a personal one is not.

Steps

1. Design one code until it is exactly right, contrast check included.
2. Save it as a workspace template so the team can use it.
3. Create new codes from the template rather than copying an old code and editing it.
4. Update the template when the brand changes, so new codes inherit the change.

How to check it worked

A colleague creates a code from the template and gets your design without adjusting anything.

What usually goes wrong

• Saving as personal, then wondering why the team cannot see it.
• Duplicating an old code, inheriting its old destination by accident.
• A template saved before the contrast problem was fixed.
