Use your own domain for short links

Owners and admins can put a dynamic code on their own domain. You add the domain, prove you own it with a DNS record, wait for its certificate, and choose it for a code before that code is published.

Steps

1. Open a dynamic code that is not published yet, switch to Link & rules and choose Custom domain.
2. Type the hostname — a subdomain such as go.yourbrand.com works best — and press Add.
3. Add the TXT record it shows at your DNS provider, then press Verify.
4. Once it is verified, give the certificate time and press Check HTTPS.
5. Press Use to put the code on the domain, then publish the code.

How to check it worked

After publishing, the code’s short link starts with your domain and opens the destination.

What usually goes wrong

• Trying to move a published code. The domain can only be chosen before the code is published.
• Checking HTTPS straight after verifying. The certificate takes a while.
• If Check HTTPS keeps failing, write to us: the domain also has to point at Mosaqo, and we will tell you exactly what to add.
