Workspace and team

Working in more than one workspace

A workspace is the boundary for codes, templates, assets, members and API keys. Separate workspaces keep separate work apart; nothing crosses between them, including keys.

Steps

  1. Use one workspace per client, brand or region when the people and the assets differ.
  2. Check which workspace you are in before creating a code — a code in the wrong workspace has the wrong audience.
  3. Remember that an API key belongs to one workspace, and using it against another returns a permission error.
  4. Keep templates and brand assets in the workspace that owns the brand.

How to check it worked

The code, its template and the people who need it all appear in the same workspace.

What usually goes wrong

  • Creating a client’s codes in your own workspace.
  • An API key from workspace A used against workspace B.
  • Duplicating a brand kit instead of keeping one canonical copy.
