Invite someone to a workspace
Invite by email address and pick the role at the same time. The invitation belongs to that address, so it has to be accepted from the account that owns it.
Steps
- Invite the address the person actually signs in with, not a shared alias.
- Choose the role during the invitation rather than granting admin and narrowing it later.
- Ask them to accept from the same address — an invitation cannot be redeemed by a different account.
- Confirm they appear in the member list with the role you intended.
How to check it worked
The member list shows them with the expected role, and they can see the workspace after signing in.
What usually goes wrong
- Inviting a shared inbox nobody signs in with.
- The invitation sitting in a spam folder.
- Granting admin “for now”.
