Feedback and reviews

Run a survey

A survey is a set of questions with an address of its own. It has no public page and sends nobody to Google: the answers come to your inbox and to the survey’s own screen. Like a place, it takes answers only after you have opened it once and pressed Publish.

Steps

  1. Open Reviews → Surveys and press New survey. Name it and start from Quick CSAT, NPS or From scratch — or import questions from a spreadsheet.
  2. Edit the questions beside the live phone preview. You can have up to ten; the one used as the primary score becomes the survey’s headline number.
  3. On the last step press Open the survey, look at it, then Publish.
  4. Share the link, or download the QR. For a tracked code per spot, use Manage QR codes.
  5. Read the results on the survey’s own screen: Analytics for scores and completion, Answers for every response.

How to check it worked

Answer the survey from a phone after publishing. The answer shows under Answers and in Reviews → Inbox.

What usually goes wrong

  • Sending the link before publishing — until then every answer is turned away.
  • Trying to delete a survey that has answers. Answers are never deleted, so a survey with any cannot be; pause or archive it from its campaign settings instead. Deleting is for owners and admins.
  • Expecting a public page or a Google button. Surveys are private by design.
